The City's Pulse Newsletter

Dear Newsletter Readers,
There's URGENT NEWS about the Election Challenge in CdA!
I have been gone on a sudden trip to help with my husband's parents.  My father-in-law, in his mid-80's is battling lymphoma and several other medical problems which converged all at once.  It was a sweet time to be with them, as we dealt with doctors, medications, walkers and more.  I flew home at midnight last night, and am not quite in the swing of things yet, but wanted you to know about an important event TOMORROW:

There will be a hearing in the legal challenge to last November's election.  It will be tomorrow, Friday, May 14th.  It's not going to be just any old hearing.  In the context of the election contest it is huge.  What occurs there, good or bad, will have a dramatic effect on the lawsuit and, with it, the integrity of our county's election system.

One of the motions is to bring the City of CdA back into the lawsuit, which is only proper since it was a CITY election and the CITY is responsible for oversight of this public obligation.  It would help a great deal to have as many people as possible present at the hearing so retired Judge Hosack, newly appointed to this case, understands the public's interest in this important issue.

Please come if you can!  The hearing is at the County Courthouse at 3:00 pm tomorrow.  I don't know which courtroom, but just ask and one of the staff will be able to direct you.

Pass the word.  Call your friends.  This is critical.
